13-Year-Old North Carolina Boy Looks To Be Adopted After Living In Foster Care: 'I Don't Want To Keep Moving From Home To Home' - Blavity

Shaylon, 13, wants a forever home after living in foster care in North Carolina. The young teenager expressed  his frustration with "moving from home to home," adding that "it gets aggravating." The 13-year-old, who is described as well-behaved and polite, also has two younger sisters who he said he used to help take care of. Although Shaylon endured some of life's challenges, it hasn't stopped him from enjoying one of his favorite pastimes which he said is painting at a ceramics studio.  “I like to paint, it kind of soothes me, it's calming," the young boy said as he painted a dragon-like porcelain figurine.  In addition to painting, Shaylon said he also enjoys football and considers himself "funny, active, and smart." "I like changing different types of sports and I always liked baseball when I was a kid,” he explained.
