The Vice-Chancellor of the University of the West Indies (UWI) has offered up a proposal for a new financial model. The terms would see host governments contributing half (50 percent) of overall financing—with the remainder coming from entrepreneurial efforts, private sector donations, students’ fees, and alumni grants.
