Angola: COVID-19 - Angola With Three New Infections

Luanda — Angola has detected three more cases of local transmission of covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the number to 21.

The official added that the new infections are contacts of case 31, a Guinea Conakry national resident of Hoji ya Henda neighbourhood, Luanda's Cazenga district.

Mufinda stated that the new cases are a 36-year old male, and two females aged 24 and 22 who were in institutional quarantine.

With the three new cases, the total number of infections in Angola so far rises to 48, two deaths, 14 recoveries and 32 active patients in stable condition.

In institutional quarantine in the country, the official added, there are 688 people of whom 69 have been released in southern Cunene province (24), Luanda (28), northern Cabinda (three), central Bié (13) and northeastern Lunda Norte (one).
