Despite the Biden administration's rule requiring insurers to cover the full cost of PrEP, Georgia still lags behind other states in terms of PrEP uptake, particularly among Black and female patients, due to barriers such as cost, medical providers who do not prescribe it, stigma, and lack of inclusive marketing.
