Anthony being unsure if he wants to play may surprise some, considering he had to claw his way back to the NBA after the Houston Rockets parted ways with him after 10 games into the 2018-2019 season.

Sports, Lillard said he wouldn’t return if the league had teams play in games that didn’t count toward anything.

“If we come back and they’re just like, ‘We’re adding a few games to finish the regular season,’ and they’re throwing us out there for meaningless games and we don’t have a true opportunity to get into the playoffs, I’m going to be with my team because I’m a part of the team,” said Lillard.

Seven teams from each conference that have the best record from those games and the regular season will then get a playoff spot.
