Charles L. Blockson

On this date in 1933, Charles L. Blockson was born in Norristown, Pa. Blockson became an author and scholar of Black studies. He is considered one of the country's leading experts on the Underground Railroad and chaired the National Park Service's first Underground Railroad Advisory Committee.
