Stacey Lauretta Dash is an American actress and talk show host. She is most widely known for co-staring in the film Clueless (1995), which later turned into a television series (1996-1999). She is also cited for her recurring role in The Cosby Show (1984–1992), The Fresh Prince of Bel Air (1993-2011), and The Game (2006-2009; 2011-2015). Beyond acting, Dash is known for her conservative political commentary as a Fox News contributor and co-host for the Fox News talk show Outnumbered.
Dash was born in the Bronx, New York and is of African American and Mexican descent. She married Brian Lovell in 1999 but the couple divorced in 2005. She married James Maby in 2005 and divorced him the following year. Maby is father to their daughter, Lola Maby, who was born in 2003. She later married actor Emmanuel Xuereb in 2007 and divorced him in 2011 after she was granted a restraining order against him for allegedly beating her during their two-year union. Dash also has a son, Austin Williams, who was born in 1991 with her prior companion, actor Christopher Williams.
Dash achieved stardom through her hilarious role as glamorous Dionne in the film Clueless. Dash has appeared in other films such as the female lead of Mo’ Money (1992) and a supporting role as a soldier and student in the Renaissance Man (1994). She also was in television series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Single Ladies, and Celebrity Circus.
