From the Chain Gang to the Prison System: Modern Slavery in Texas?

Texas has one of the largest prison systems in the U.S., and much of its labor force is made up of incarcerated individuals—many of them Black men. These prisoners are forced to work for pennies on the dollar, producing goods and even farming land with no real compensation. Activists call it legalized slavery under the 13th Amendment loophole. Is this justice or just business?
