By Vynessah Dasher/BNC Contributor Vice Mayor Rodney Harris secured a victory re-election in the race for Mayor of Miami Gardens over Democratic rival, Sharon Pritchett. According to polls in Miami-Gardens, Harris led by an 18 percent margin with nearly 97% of polls reporting. Polls closed in Miami-Gardens at 8pm. Harris’s role working as a Senior Juvenile Probation officer set the stage for much of his philanthropic efforts within the Miami-Gardens area.
