Les pays du G7 se sont engagés, dimanche, à "accélérer" leur "sortie" des énergies fossiles dans tous les secteurs, à l'issue d'une réunion de leurs ministres du Climat, de l'Énergie et de l'Environnement au Japon, sans pour autant se fixer une nouvelle date. Ils ont également annoncé leur intention de réduire à zéro leur pollution plastique d'ici 2040.
