Le sens de la fête du drapeau | Haiti Liberte

Chaque année à la date du 18 mai, des patriotes haïtiens du monde entier, en Haïti comme dans la diaspora brandissent leurs drapeaux avec fierté pour marquer l’anniversaire du drapeau. Ils ont raison parce que le drapeau est un symbole de l’indépendance et de la souveraineté du pays et de la nation haïtienne. Nos ancêtres l’ont arraché sur le champ de bataille de l’armée indigène. Nous ne pouvons oublier cette grande femme, Catherine Flon, qui en participant à cette grande bataille a cousu le drapeau.
