Legendary basketball player Michael Jordan, and his Jordan Brand pledged $100 million over 10 years to organizations “dedicated to fighting racial inequality, social justice, and greater education,” Jordan Brand announced in a statement Friday afternoon.
Jordon released a message and tweeted the following statement via twitter:
“Black lives matter.
Jordan, who typically remained silent on social issues during his playing days, spoke out this week about George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis.
We have had enough” , said Michael Jordan.
Jordan joins the many black celebrities and athletes that haven’t just talked about change, but done something to push us another step closer to it.
