According to AP News, Saunders lifted her arms above her head and formed her wrist into an “X” during the photo op at her medal's ceremony. Saunders explained that the “X” represents the intersection of where all people who are oppressed meet.   Saunders has raised an eyebrow at the Olympics' failure to live up to celebrating diversity.
