St. John Missionary Baptist Church launched a weekly grocery giveaway targeting people in need that are in the city of Richmond.

Seventy-five at the North Campus on 29 8th St. and 75 at the South Campus on 662 South 52nd St.

“As a leading church in the community, we believe that it is our responsibility to do what we can to help those in need,” Pastor Kevin B. Hall said.

St. John’s is the city’s largest predominantly African American church and has been a beacon of light in the community for over 75 years.

As a faith-based organization, it prides itself as “A Kingdom Building Church in Two Communities,” to evangelize the Sinner and to equip the Saints, who are edifying and enjoying one another, in order to exalt the Savior.
