The Weeknd donates $1M for hunger relief to Ethiopia

Grammy award-winning artist The Weeknd is donating $1 million to hunger relief efforts in Ethiopia in the middle of an ongoing crisis between the government in Addis Ababa and the Tigray region, he announced on Sunday. “My heart breaks for my people of Ethiopia as innocent civilians ranging from small children to elderly are being senselessly murdered and entire villages are being displaced out of fear and destruction,” The Weeknd wrote on Instagram.
