A woman reportedly made a call to the New York Police Department (NYPD) accusing a black man of threatening her and her dog during an argument Monday morning that started when the man asked the woman to leash her dog in Central Park.

The latter part of the exchange was caught on camera by Christian Cooper, 57, who was in the Ramble in Central Park around 8:00 a.m. where dogs are required to be leashed, NBC News reported.

In a Facebook post, Christian claimed that Amy refused to leash her dog when asked because “the dog runs are closed.”

After Amy refused to take her dog to another part of Central Park that allows unleashed dogs, Christian said “look, if you’re going to do what you want, I’m going to do what I want, but you’re not going to like it.”

“Imagine the police responded at some point, but once she put her dog on the leash, I went back to birding (which I was wrapping up and heading out anyway),” Christian wrote in another post, according to a report by Head.com.
