A Black resource officer who was fired from a high school in Florida for using a racial slur multiple times while in uniform was rehired on Monday, according to the Associated Press. In a 3-0 vote, Tampa’s Civil Service Board determined that Delvin White’s firing was too harsh a punishment, despite Chief of Police Brian Dugan having cause to do so.
