Former Saint Lucia Prime Minister, Allen Chastanet, has praised the performance of 18 Year old Mikaili Charlemagne who broke the local record in the 50m Freestyle whilst participating in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. 'We are very proud of you Mikail,' Chastanet wrote on his Facebook page on Saturday. Despite failing to advance to the semifinal round, Charlemagne finished 2nd with a time of 26.99, lowering the previous national record of 27.27 which she had set in 2019.
