Famed film producer Will Packer is getting his flowers while he can still smell them. As part of Florida A&M University's homecoming festivities, the school honored Packer, an esteemed alumnus, by renaming the Performance Arts Amphitheater after him. Will Packer has produced notable films such as Ride Along , Girls Trip , Think Like A Man Too , and served as executive producer on Straight Outta Compton . It was at FAMU that Packer began his filmmaking career. In 1994, Packer and fellow classmate/future business partner, Rob Hardy, produced their first film, Chocolate City . Since then, Packer has made a living showcasing the nuance and diversity of the Black experience. It's no doubt that he is deserving of being honored for his continuous contributions to the culture.
