THE UWI Garden Party, themed, La Festa in Giardino, was held on July 7 at the Campus Principal's Office, at The UWI St Augustine Campus from 2-8 pm.
This event combined the sophistication of jazz with the vibrant energy of soca. Performers included Farmer Nappy, Vaughnette Bigford and her band, and the D'All Starz Band featuring College Boy Jesse and Ding Dong.
The all-inclusive fare included a pasta station with options like spaghetti in a golden coconut cream, and spicy three cheese tortellini; antipasto grazing boards; Italian handheld delights like polpette al sugo and arancini. Dessert included mini cannoli cups and tiramisu in shot glasses.
Proceeds from the event will go to scholarships and bursaries for deserving students.
