Olympic medalists Tommie Smith and John Carlos shocked the world when they threw up a Black Power fist while being awarded at the podium during the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City. Since their courageous feat, a number of Black athletes have blessed the world's biggest athletic stage with their historic talents.
