Seasoned musician Giddes Chalamanda, popularly known as Agidde, on Tuesday thanked Malawians for their love and “get well soon” messages, having been hospitalised at Chiradzulu District Hospital on Monday.
The singer and guitarist, famed for songs such as ‘Che Meli’, ‘Liny’ and ‘Buffalo Soldier’, said in a telephone interview from his hospital bed that he was getting better than on the first day of admission.
“I am getting better and hoping to be discharged soon,” he said.
The veteran musician said Malawians were warm and loving, such that some people have been visiting him in hospital. Now in his 90s, Agidde has been active, giving people live performances
