Juneteenth Virtual Unity Rally Against Racism

The NAACP, The League United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) and the Urban League of Texas will host a Juneteenth Virtual Unity Rally Against Racism on Saturday, June 20th 2020 from 12 pm to 1:30 pm.
They will be joined by Senator Royce West and Dallas Cowboy Hall of Famer, Emmitt Smith.
The rally will focus on key issues including racism, new legislation, including the HEROES ACT, and overcoming barriers to voting during this health and economic crisis.
Key speakers for the rally will be Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, Senator Royce West, and Attorney Domingo Garcia.
Texas was the most remote of the slave states, and the Emancipation Proclamation of January 1, 1863, was not enforced there until after the Civil War had ended.
