Almost a year after a man sexually touched a 12-year-old girl who was a passenger in his car, police from the Special Victims Department (SVD) detained a suspect from Longdenville on January 26.
SVD police charged the man on January 27 – the same day he turned 45.
Supt Powder, ASPs Seecharan and Francis, Insp Jacob and Sgt Thompson, all of the SVD, co-ordinated the investigation. WPC Wilson-Mahabir charged the man with one count of sexual touching.
Central Division police confirmed that the suspect was expected to face a master in the High Court on January 28. The offence is alleged to have taken place last February.
