An overwhelming majority of Black Americans say they would choose former Vice President Joe Biden for president over Donald Trump if the election were held today, according to a new poll.
A Washington Post-Ipsos poll released Thursday shows that racism and police conduct are the most important issues for Black Americans when selecting the next president.
Nearly 3 in 4 Black Americans say they are “absolutely certain to vote,” according to the poll.
Black Americans under 40 are less motivated to hit the polls with 61% saying they will vote.
When choosing who to support for president, at least 9 in 10 Black Americans say racism and police treatment of Black Americans will be determining factors.
