The team of Rabindra Narine and Nicholas Wood Salomon emerged winners of the 15th annual TT Contractors Association Coral Cup Classic Golf Tournament at Millennium Lakes Golf & Country Club on June 22. The pair won by three strokes with a net score of nine under par 62.
Lerry Ramlogan and Sheriff Babwah (65) placed second while third place went to Ryan Ali and Ramsingh “Rambo” Boodoosingh, also on 65. Rounding out the top five were the teams of Shazaad Ali/Jesse Khan (65) and Lerone Brathwaite/ Michael Edwards with net 66.
This annual event seeks to promote networking among the TTCA’s local and regional partners while assisting local charities. In previous years the proceeds of the event went to charitable organisations such as Autism Tobago, the Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the Lady Hochoy Home, Gasparillo branch. This year the proceeds benefited Raffa House.
At the prize-giving ceremony, Glenn Mahabirsingh, president of the TTCA, expressed his gratitude to the major sponsors TCL/Cemex Ltd, RBC Royal Bank, KFC, 21 Plantations Paradise, First Caribbean Marketing Co Ltd as all as the other sponsors, participants, volunteers and guests. He also thanked the chairman of the golf committee, Ramlogan Roopnarinesingh, and John Cardenas, General Manager of the TTCA, for putting on another successful event.
