According to Variety, the director of the upcoming remake, Marc Webb, has worked on other films such as 500 Days of Summer and The Amazing Spider-Man. The original 1937 release of the Disney classic inspired several other films, like Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and Snow White and the Huntsman. Since 2016, Disney has been in the works of putting together live action films of their classic princess movies.
