Many have been blasting Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron since the three Louisville police officers who shot and killed Breonna Taylor in her home this past March remain free of charges in connection with her death.
Taylor was a Black 26-year-old EMT who was lying in bed with her boyfriend Kenneth Walker on March 13 at 1 a.m. when officers broke down the front door of her apartment on a no-knock drug raid.
Cameron would wind up taking on the investigation of the police officers after local prosecutor Tom Wine removed himself from the case because of a perceived conflict of interest, as he was prosecuting Walker at the time on a charge of attempted murder of the policemen involved in the raid.
Pressure on Cameron to charge the officers with murder has mounted in recent weeks, and it only seemed to increase in the past few days after he was seen at his engagement party this past weekend.
Many, including rapper Trae Tha Truth, blasted Cameron, a Republican who is the first African-American to be elected state attorney general in Kentucky history.
