Not about the property damage or the anger that is spilling out through riots across our country, but because this is what it seems to take to get a reaction from our society, from the status quo.
Not only at the hands of police but also through our justice system and redlining/systematic circumstances that has concentrated recipes for violence in lower socioeconomic and minority communities.
I also hope that we in the future will only look to chemical weapons and full riot gear as a last resort because I believe it is important for us to practice what we preach and violence will not beat violence.
And as long as America postpones justice, we stand in the position of having these recurrences of violence and riots over and over again.
Social justice and progress are the absolute guarantors of riot prevention.
