September 17, 2024 (PORT SUDAN) - Sudan's Minister of Minerals, Mohamed Bashir Abunommo, discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation in the mining sector with a visiting Russian delegation on Tuesday. 'We had productive discussions on expanding bilateral trade and investment, especially in mining,' Minister Abunommo stated after a meeting with a Russian delegation led by Viktor Chimodanov, Chairman of the Russian-Sudanese Business Council, and Andrey Chernovol, Russian Ambassador to Sudan. 'Russia's expertise in modern mining technologies is of great interest to us,' he added.
