African Americans and people of color are experiencing a pandemic within a pandemic as communities work to navigate a global health crisis while also facing system racism and disparities.
This is the second in a series of conversations featuring voices from the community and elected officials to discuss the state of Black Minnesota in the midst of civil unrest and demands for systemic overhaul following the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police.
“In this time of unrest, people of all colors are tired of the mistreatment and loss of lives that have been taken at the hands of police officers across the county,” said Tracey Williams-Dillard, MSR publisher.
“The time is now to start the conversation of where to go from here and how to help our community process and push for tangible change.”
