To many, the reeds along Hout Bay's Manchester Road offer a peaceful foray off the beaten track next to a river, but to others it is a hiding place for criminals waiting for the heat to die down. They also became the death site for schoolboy Sibusiso Dakuse who disappeared on his way to a shop.
