TT recorded their second consecutive win of the TT Women's Cricket Association Under-19 T20 Tri-series after defeating Barbados by three wickets at the National Cricket Centre in Couva on June 25.

Sent in to bat, the visitors were restricted to 90/5, and were then trumped by the hosts 91/7, after 19.2 overs.

Barbados' Elecia Brown top scored with 22 while Theanny Herbert-Mayers scored 20. Eboni Brathwaite (ten) was the only other player to get into double figures.

Doing the damage with the ball for TT were 2024 Secondary Schools Cricket League girls' open title-winning captain Amrita Ramtahal (2/9) and Brianna Harricharan (2/14).

In their turn at the crease, TT did not have their best performance with the bat but were lucky enough to get over the line with four balls to spare.

Harricharan top scored with an unbeaten 14 runs while opener Katrina Ruben (13) was the only other batter to get into double figures. Delianny Espinoza also finished unbeaten on eight.

Topping the bowling for Barbados was Naijanni Cumberbatch, who took 4/12.

This was TT's second win in as many matches in the tri-series, which also features Windward Islands.

The tournament is being used as preparation for the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Women's Under-19 Championships in Trinidad next month.

Windward Islands will play their first match of the tournament on June 27 from 2 pm against TT.
