Twitter is officially saying goodbye to the platform’s fleets, which were either short videos, text or pictures that could be uploaded by users. The elements were then scheduled to disappear after a 24-hour period, similar to Instagram’s stories. Although the platform announced the feature would no longer be available, some users made it clear they are not ready to bid farewell to the feature. In honor of the feature being removed, Twitter suggested #Fleetnik become an annual holiday, with fleets making an appearance for 24 hours on Aug. 2. As #Fleetnik trended on Twitter, users celebrated its last 24 hours posting explicit content. As expected, users posted videos of ultimate thirst traps and their birthday suits during the midnight hour.
