Uganda confirmed Monday it paid the Democratic Republic of Congo the first installment out of five in reparations for the invasion and looting by Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) during the Congo war. The conflict involved several militias 1998 and 2003. The move follows an ICJ ruling.
