THE body of Annecia Lewis was found on Sunday morning in Carenage, two days after she went missing.
However, police confirmed to Newsday that widespread reports Sunday morning on social media, including from several news outlets, that two other bodies were also found, were not true.
Lewis, 31, who went missing last Friday, was found near the Trinidad Yacht Club, Newsday was told.
Her relatives disputed media reports that she was among a group of hikers who had gone to the Fort Palmiste waterfalls in Bagatelle last Friday and went missing.
They said Lewis, who was a mother of one, simply went to a river near her home, as she was accustomed doing, to bathe, when they believe she was washed away by the waters. Investigations are ongoing.
