US visa interview process has changed

A: Although the Department of State's suspension of routine visa services remains in place, US Embassy Kingston is processing certain mission-critical and emergency immigrant and non-immigrant visa cases.

We also continue to process cases deemed mission-critical, such as visas for certain H-2 applicants and some medical professionals, as well as emergency visa requests.

Q. Has the visa interview process at the embassy changed for applicants due to COVID-19?

Please know that we are in constant contact with the Department of State in Washington, DC, on this issue and hope to receive guidance soon regarding processing of student visa cases.

We will prioritise these cases as soon as we may resume processing of student visa requests.
