Mayor B ernard C. “Jack” Young Announces Cancellation of Public Events Through August 31
Events larger than 250 participants will be cancelled through August 31; all event permits of any size are canceled through May 31
BALTIMORE, MD. — Mayor Bernard C. “Jack” Young announced today that all public events held in Baltimore City slated to include more than 250 people have been cancelled through August 31st, 2020.
Cancelled events include the Baltimore Office of Promotion and The Arts’ (BOPA) large-scale summer events Artscape 2020 and Baltimore’s 4th of July Celebration.
The following permit and event types are impacted by this decision:
The Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize exhibitions will proceed on a virtual platform this year.
