Virginia reported 25 new coronavirus-related deaths Tuesday, the largest daily total since May 28, according to the state health department.

The department said eight of the deaths were in Northern Virginia, InsideNoVa reported.

The state's death total stands at 1,645, with more than half — 873 — coming from Northern Virginia.

Virginia's total number of COVID-19 cases is currently 58,994, with Northern Virginia accounting for 52.1 percent of them.
