The organization founded in 1965 by leading civil rights and labor activist A. Philip Randolph, the A. Phillip Randolph Institute (APRI) continues the struggle for social, political and economic justice for all working Americans. Recently the local APRI local chapter celebrated the marker erected in his memory at the park located on A. Phillip Randolph Blvd. The chapter is currently led by Angelita Rivers.
