William Roddie Bryan, the man who recorded the last moments of Ahmaud Arbery’s life, has been arrested for murder.
The Arbery family’s legal team released a statement praising the “diligence” of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
“The family of Ahmaud Arbery was relieved to learn that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has today taken William ‘Roddie’ Bryan into custody,” said attorneys S. Lee Merritt, Benjamin Crump and L. Chris Stewart, according to WJAX-TV.
Gregory McMichael told the police Bryan was trying to help him and his son apprehend Arbery.
In another interview with CNN, Gough claimed his client had no connection to the McMichael family.
