In-Person Spring Commencement Rescheduled to be Held in the Fall During Week of Homecoming 2020
Tomorrow morning, nearly 1,000 Morgan State University graduates will be honored online for completing their matriculation.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the University will debut a special ‘Virtual Recognition Ceremony’ video, the first such event of its kind in University history.
The recorded Ceremony can be viewed via the University’s Commencement site and Morgan’s YouTube channel.
It is unfortunate that we will be unable to recognize their hard work in reaching this milestone by hosting a traditional commencement ceremony for the students and their families to enjoy, however, we will still honor them, for now virtually, until we are able to provide them with a full graduation experience in the fall,” said Morgan President David K. Wilson.
Morgan’s Spring 2020 Commencement, which had been postponed to comply with an executive order from the Governor of Maryland prohibiting any large gatherings due to the threat of COVID-19, will be rescheduled for the fall and held at Hughes Memorial Stadium during the week of Homecoming 2020, on Oct. 15.
