Palmer takes oath

Burke County native and licensed attorney Andrew Palmer was sworn in as Chief Magistrate Judge for Burke County on Friday afternoon in a ceremony conducted by Superior Court Judge Carl Brown Jr. Brown, along with the other Superior Court judges in the Augusta Judicial Circuit, unanimously selected Palmer for the position following the death of former Judge Sterling Wimberly.
