Homecoming is here! This month, many historically Black colleges and universities are participating in their biggest week of the year — Homecoming. Alumni of HBCUs are driving in, taking flights, or joining in online celebrating the Black college experience. Several HBCUs have chosen not to gather again this year and have paused traditional homecomings events due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Morehouse College canceled their homecoming festivities scheduled for the week of Oct. 10. Howard University administration has planned a hybrid homecoming this year, slated for Oct. 16-24, with in-person and virtual events. Many alums, broken-hearted over the homecoming cancellations, have shared their favorite Homecoming throwback moments on Twitter.
